Online film screening: Fever at Dawn
February 23 @ 15:00 - February 24 @ 15:00
From 23 February to 24 February, the Hungarian film Fever at Dawn (Hajnali láz) will be available online to all those who are interested and live in The Netherlands (the film has English subtitles).
Fever at Dawn tells the true story of a love born in the strangest of circumstances between two long-suffering survivors of WWII. In July 1945, Miklós, a Hungarian survivor of Belsen, arrives in a refugee camp in Sweden. The doctor says he has only months to live, but Miklós has other plans. He acquires a list of 117 young Hungarian women who are also in refugee camps in Sweden, and he writes a letter to each of them. One of those young women, he is sure, will become his wife. In a camp hundreds of kilometers away, Lili reads his letter and decides to write back. Their love overcomes all obstacles in its path, including death when it eventually comes…
