Discovering the Archaeology of Love in a mosaic of European films.
After taking part to numerous film festivals and cinematographic events, EUNIC Netherlands is proud to announce its very own film festival, EUNIC Filmdagen, taking place online during October 28-31.
During four days, every film enthusiast and cinema nostalgic in the Netherlands will have the opportunity to watch for free eight movies from eight European countries, selected by EUNIC Netherlands’ Institutes and Embassies. The fil rouge connecting them is ‘Archaeology of Love’ which, as expressed by the film critic Neringa Kažukauskaitė, “has both a creative and destructive energy, and manifests itself in complex political, social or cultural contexts.”
On the platform eunicfilmdagen.nl you can read the critic’s entire review, find the programme of the festival, and the complete introduction to all the movies – available in their original language and subtitled in English:
- ‘Shirley – Visions of Reality’, Austria (2013)
- ‘Soviet Hippies’, Estonia (2017)
- ‘Il Giovane Favoloso’, Italy (2014)
- ‘A Woman and her Four Men’, Lithuania (1983)
- ‘Ladies Day’, United Kingdom (2018)
- ‘Eternal Winter’, Hungary (2018)
- ‘History of Love’, Slovenia (2018)
- ‘The Executioner’, Spain (1963)
Join us by registering now on the website eunicfilmdagen.nl; a confirmation will follow soon after the registration, while the password to access the platform and watch the eight movies during October 28-31 will be sent on October 27.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to enjoy free European films, from drama to documentaries, from the North to the South of the continent, travelling for four days with EUNIC Netherlands beyond borders and into the world of cinema.
This project is organised by EUNIC Netherlands in cooperation with its member organizations:
Embassy of Austria, British Council, Instituto Cervantes, Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Embassy of Estonia, Embassy of Hungary, Embassy of Slovenia, and Litouws Cultureel Centrum
