V4 Film Festival (Embassy of Hungary, Tsjechisch Centrum Nederland)

Two of our Cluster members, the Tsjechisch Centrum Nederland and the Embassy of Hungary in The Hague, are among the supporters of the V4 Film Festival, an international initiative that promotes the culture of cinema across Europe.

The Embassies of Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland based in the Netherlands are the four organizers of this annual Film Festival, this year taking place online. The four films have been selected among recent productions coming from the above-mentioned countries, and were chosen for their way of portraying captivating personal stories related to each of the four States.

The following films will be available on different platforms and at different times, from July 1 until July 4. The online streaming is available for free upon registration (see specific directions for every title):

• BAŤA, PRVNÍ GLOBALISTA (BATASTORIES), Directed by Peter Kerekes, Czech Republic, France, Slovakia, 2018, 78 min. This film is available from 1 July (12:00) till 4 July (23:59) after registration on https://dafilms.com/film/13036-batastories
• THE RIFT (TRHLINA), Directed by Peter Bebjak, Slovak Republic, 2019. 112 min. This film is available from 1 July (00:01) till 3 July (23:59). To register and receive the link and password please contact events.hague@mzv.sk by June 30th.
• KINCSEM (BET ON REVENGE), Directed by Gábor Herendi, Hungary, 2017, 122 min. This film is available from 1 July (15:00) till 2 July (15:00). To register and receive the link and password please contact event.hga@mfa.gov.hu by June 30th.
• NAJLEPSZY (BREAKING THE LIMITS), Directed by Łukasz Palkowski, Poland, 2017, 110 min. This film is available from 1 July (08:00) till 3 July (24:00). To register and receive the link and password please contact hague.events@msz.gov.pl by June 30th.
