This year the Cobra Museum has a special focus on art from different parts of Africa. In doing so, they follow the example of a number of Cobra artists in their fascination for African art. They are currently presenting the exhibition Kosmogonie: Zinsou, an African Art Collection with a selection of 110 works of art by 37 African artists, from different countries and from different generations. The Cobra Museum supplements this imaginative exhibition with an original program of activities. Tickets can be purchased here.
The Institut Français has launched a podcast episode on Zinsou, which complements the exhibition. This podcast episode is entitled, ‘A discussion between Marie-Cécile Zinsou, French-Beninese art historian, entrepreneur, and founder of the Zinsou Foundation in Cotonou and Bukola Oyebode, Nigerian art critic based in Amsterdam, founder and editor in chief of the TSA Art Magazine, about crossroads, education, and the access to African cultural heritage.’ It can be followed here.
