Cooking workshop (Alliance Française Amsterdam)

Indeed, Haiti is a French-speaking state in the Greater Antilles, renowned for its gastronomy. Haiti became a State member of the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) in 1970. This state is also a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie. Two official languages coexist in this country: Haitian Creole and French. There are several Alliances Françaises in Haiti, as well as an Institut Français, which participate in the influence of the French language in the country.

Here is the list of all the ingredients you will need in order to cook this delicious dessert:

– 1 l of milk
– 4 glasses of short grain rice
– 3 cinnamon sticks
– lemon zest
– 2 pinches of salt
– a half glass of sugar
– 30 g of butter
– 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract

Recommended for intermediate & advanced students.
