Women do science too

September 23 @ 17:30 - 20:00

FREE

The Association of Spanish Scientists in the Netherlands (CENL) presents “Women do science too”, in collaboration with the Embassy of Spain in The Hague and the Instituto Cervantes Utrecht. This event is about the past, present and future of female scientists and researchers.

This event will include a screening of the documentary: “The woman who dreamed with numbers” on María Andrea Casamayor de la Coma from Zaragoza. She was the first Spanish woman to publish a scientific text in 1738: Tyrocinio Arithmetico, an educational work aiming to teach mathematics to those who did not have access to education. Afterwards, some of CENL’s members will present their research and trajectories.
