On the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the death of Yunus Emre (one of Turkey’s foremost mystical Sufi poet), UNESCO has declared the year 2021 Yunus Emre Year.
The Yunus Emre Institute Amsterdam and OBA are organizing a special music and poetry evening in collaboration with Theo Loevendie, composer and Turkish music lover.
Theo Loevendie made a choice from poems by Yunus Emre and the Dutch poet Hans Verhagen, he combined these with his musical choices to play poems and music from his compositions.
