Accademia Bizantina: tour of the Netherlands of “Agrippina” by G.F. Handel and instrumental concertos by A. Vivaldi

Accademia Bizantina’s music starts from its origins, from the rules of Baroque stylistic language: it explores them without adding, removing or transforming anything, relying on the sounds of ancient instruments.
Accademia Bizantina’s tour will also bring a full Vivaldi programme to Dutch theatres during the month of January: several concerts from “L’Estro Armonico” and the famous “Four Seasons”; the solo violinist will be Accademia Bizantina’s concertmaster, whose interpretation of this repertoire has already positively surprised audiences and press, and has long and widely conquered them.
In January 2024, Accademia Bizantina, led by Maestro Ottavio Dantone, will perform the opera at De Nationale Opera in Amsterdam with an international cast and directed by Barrie Kosky; the premiere will take place on 13 January, followed by performances on 15, 17, 21, 24, 26 and 28 January.
