A Mirror for Europe – Beyond Kitsch?

To end Institut Francais’ special program for the French Presidency of the European Union with a bang, they have devised an exceptional series of activities for the month of May: “A Mirror for Europe – Beyond Kitsch? “. We know the values that Europe upholds and which today are more important than ever. How do you translate these values into emotions so that everyone can identify with them and continue to fight for them? The poster above is from the “Photo Novel of Europe” which was created by French cartoonist Dimitri Planchon, who will be present on IF’s social media channels from April 25. He uses this narrative genre, considered outdated today, to create a devastating but always sympathetic image of the European to sketch.
