MASCULINITIES: Thoughts and Reflections (Finnish Institute Benelux)

The Finnish Institute Benelux is glad to continue the conversation on masculinities in a widely accessible and pandemic-safe manner.

Writers, artists, researchers, and thinkers have been invited to share their thoughts with us, and have been commissioned new texts and works from various voices on the field, as well as highlighted existing projects.

MASCULINITIES includes perspectives from the researcher Nana Blomqvist, the writer Arno Boey, the  artist Alexander Cromer, the youth worker Koen Dedoncker, the designer and writer Ervin Latimer, the researcher Minna Salami, the actor and writer Jani Toivola, along with newly commissioned works by the illustrator Caroline Suinner and the photographer Nick Tulinen. The project also features artistic works by the  editor and writer Joppe De Campeneere and the photographer Ahmet Polat.

After a digital launch at the end of 2020, teh Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux now launches the print edition “MASCULINITIES: Thoughts and Reflections”, as a continuation of the RE/Defining Masculinities programming.
