Fun Language Classes on 25 September 2025
This event will give secondary school pupils aged 12 the chance to experience in a fun way what it’s like to start learning a new language. The pupils will get short (20 min) lessons in different languages in each of the five cities where the event takes place. In The Hague, Rotterdam, Leiden and Groningen there will be a morning (10:00-12:00) and an afternoon session (13:00-15:00) with four languages, in Utrecht only an afternoon session with three languages.

The number of places is limited, so don’t wait too long. We are currently looking for schools to participate in our morning programme in Rotterdam!
Speak Dating on 26 September 2025 in Leiden
This event will take place in the hallway of the Herta Mohr building. Simultaneously, Leiden University will organise an Evening of Languages in the same building. The final programme will be available by the end of August.
At the Speak Dating event (we’ll call it Talenmarkt in Dutch), we will present 20-25 different languages (Finnish, Ukrainian, Spanish, Maltese, Irish and many more). Visitors can flirt with as many languages as they want.

How can I register?
Registration will be possible from the end of August via the website of Leiden University. We will put a registration link on the website of the Representation of the European Commission.
